How too use internal fax program/with distictive ring tones

Recently I purchased a compaq presarion with the windows
xp software included. I connected a lexmark x74-75 all-in-
one printer, got it all connected with a westell DSL
Modem. Everything works great! Except:

PROBLEM: I'm very much would like too use the internal
fax modem on my computer. On my phone line, I have a main
number along with a distinctive ring tone which I would
like to use as my fax number. How do I configure this and
make it work?

PROBLEM: I have all the fax sounds< when a regular
incoming call comes in the fax picks up< and this is very
annoying>Help Please!

PROBLEM: I keep getting error messages when I send a real
fax that tells me it failed>Help Please!
 
I do not believe that the built-in XP FAX system can handle the distinctive
ring. You may have to check out out faxing software, like WinFax Pro
(Version 10.5 or higher for XP.)

Fax Machine by http://www.nicocuppen.com can do this too, even o
Windows XP.
