Hello,
I would like the file names of attached files to be visible in the
Outlook message list (and not just a paperclip), without having to
click on the message. Is this possible or are there other solutions?
Thanks for any help

hi

what version of outlook are you using? did you switch on the setting in
explorer to show know filetypes? originally, outlook shows at least the
filenames of attached files

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I'm using Outlook 2003.
<<did you switch on the setting in

Do you mean Internet explorer or windows explorer? Widows explorer is
set to show known file types, and I can't find anything like this in IE
I can only see the attached file's name if i click on the message and
see the whole message in the right hand window (filename then appears
in right hand window at top of message)
Thanks again for any help

thanks for letting me know, I meant Windows Explorer. Well, that sounds
a bit strange, anyway I'm quite sure its a config issue. I can't
remember exactly where, but I think there was a function to reset the
forms for viewing etc. Can you try to find this and reset these forms?

And, did you try the reinstall of Outlook 2003?

it's not possible to show the names in the view.
