What should be done to use (open, update records, etc.) Access 2000 database
without Microsoft Office (installed) ?
You will need at least Microsoft Access installed, either the retail version or
the Runtime version. The Runtime version is only available as part of Office
Developer, but you will likely have a difficult time locating any version of
Access/Office prior to 2002 or 2003. If you only need to add the ability to run
the database on one or two machines, I would recommend getting one or two copies
of just Access in the latest version you can locate (later versions will
run/convert the earlier version) as the cost will be less than obtaining the
Runtime files and license.
