hi,
Can pen drive's memory be used as Ram in XP?

Can anyone elaborate on this plz?

Thanks

in vista you can but
microsoft does not
provide such a feature
in xp.

however, there is third
party software that claims
to be able to use flash
disks as additional
memory.

I think their prices
are like 75.00 or so.

which beg'd the question
when I saw the price as
to why people buy software
that would become outdated

when it would be cheaper just
to add a stick of ram to
the system.

for XP there is "eBooster" .. it does essentially the same as Vista : use
external flash devices as "Ram".

Again a Vista-exclusive feature that has been ported to XP..

It also brings up the question of would it override the motherboard's
limitation of how much ram it can handle? Also what about speed? Would
it make the pc faster, or slow it down considerably?
