How to "Turn Off" Windows Installer

Hi,

I have a problem with Windows Installer: it tries to install a certain
foreign language component every time I start up. It started to do this
because once I viewed a Word document that supported a foreign language.
Anyway, the installer prompts me for an Office disk, but I don't have one
because the software was pre-installed on my hard drive. I don't really care
about the modification of the software, I just want Windows Installer to stop
"bugging" me. I thought about uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, but
I wasn't sure if this would do the trick and I also figured that there might
be an easier way.

Any suggestions to this matter are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jonathan

BE very careful with the Installer. You can really mess up things if you
play around with it.

Since this question is really about Office/Word, I suggest you post to
the Office Setup newsgroup with details of the versions and
service-packs applied. You might also go to www.officeupdate.com to see
if there are fixes for this issue.
