how to turn off that stupid "compress e-mail" message??? everytime I close
the Windows Mail the message appears. I don't want to compress my e-mail.
Disk space is cheap, time is expensive!

There is no "compress e-mail" message. You may have misread it.
Perhaps it had to do with compacting the database. That needs to
be done periodically to maintain the speed and efficiency of the
message store database.

Here is where, but if you continue to adopt that stated attitude, you will
be back here with a corrupt WM database.

At your own risk!!

Edit the Registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\compact check count,
reset decimal to zero (0).

Simply allow the "compaction" to take place, at the end of the day, all it
does is remove wasted space - nothing else!
