Is there any way to toggle (display or hide ) the number of email shown in
win xp startup screen which we required to choose a username n logon?

Thanks for reply.

I still can't make it. I wanna the unread mail to display on the welcome
screen.

The problem is before i changed my network name, it was all right. But
after i'd changed it to the other name since window pop up saying that
:"Err Msg: Event ID: 4320 Duplicate Name on Network" and my computer couldn't
on line using adsl LAN. After i changed my network name to the other, the
problem solved. Now my problem is the unread mail count dissapear on the
welcome screen.

I had used tweak xp or ui before and still can't make it. What can i do now?

Thanks for reply.

Hi

You can't 'toggle' it. You either see the notification or you don't. It's
global.

To remove an account or to change the count manually:

Start>Run>Regedit>navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.
