I'm having what may be a problem of incompatibility between an
asus K8V SE mobo with VIA chipset and a (Canopus) DVStorm2 video
capture (and other process) card.

My question is how to investigate this using my WinXP pro
installation.

Of course, I've viewed `my computer/hardware' screen but see no
indication of trouble there.

The only indication there of the DVStorm2 card is at:

Sound Video Game Controllers/DVStorm-RT (on IRQ 19)

Nothing to indicate a problem that I see.

Windows XP cannot tell whether your hardware components are compatible with
each other. That is the responsibility of whoever built your computer.

I appreciate your input but...
That isn't what I asked. I asked how to use WinXP pro to investigate
the condition. That is, any tests or experiments or whatever that
would reveal what kind of problem it is. Possibly give clues to a
decision as to whether it is an incompatability problem or something
else.

"Windows XP cannot tell whether your hardware components are compatible with

Look on the Internet for third party software, if any, to do this.
