Wondering if you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of
Windows?

You have the 32-bit because if you had the 64-bit version
you would know it.
But if you want to check for sure:

Start > Run > type in "regedit" - no quotes > hit Enter

Navigate to this key by expanding the appropriate nodes:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Sessio
n
Manager\Environment\PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE

if the value is x86 then you are running 32-bit.

Right click on MY COMPUTER. Under the GENERAL tab the words "64 bit" will be
displayed if it is the 64 bit version. The number of bits will NOT be
displayed at all if it is the 32 bit version.

The vast majority of users have the 32 bit version.
