how to synchronize time with remote machine?

i am new to vb , can anyone help me with how to synchronize time with
remote server?

Windows already has this ability via the Windows Time Service.

For information on the Windows XP Time Service see:

I understand that it is based on the NIST Internet Time Service:

http://tf.nist.gov/service/its.htm

And more importantly the NTP = Network Time Protocol (available at the above
link).

The "problem" that you can have is due to network traffic the message itself
can take "seconds" to get to you, so the time you receive is off from the
time you sent. I understand the above protocol allows for this lag...
