Dear all,

My graphic card supports dual monitor. So I am now attaching the PC Windows
XP SP2 with two monitors. The problem is that how to conviniently set one
application window to be displayed on the secondary monitor?

I know there is a shareware MultiMon that adds one more small button on the
application windows along with the three small buttons on the top right
corner of the windows(minimize, maximize/restore, and close)... The fourth
button added, can toggle the window to be displayed on the second monitor or
the first monitor back and forth...

Without that shareware, in WINDOWSXP alone, I can drag and enlarge the
window border to make it appear on the second monitor, but that's really
very troublesome, esp. when I want the window to be maximized shown on the
second monitor.

Is there any hidden tricks in WINDOWSXP that can allow me to manipulate the
windows on the two monitors conviniently? Hopefully a button can do...

Thanks a lot,

Lucy

Hi, that's not the OP wants. The OP does not like the stretch and drag
window stuff; she wants a quick-button or one-key-click quick method of
shooting windows from one desktop to the other.

I tried everything that came my way.. Free and otherwise. I searched and
plotted and researched and investigated. Tried many different video cards,
their proprietary software, people hacking software, etc.

I finally broke down - bought "UltraMon". It does everything I wanted to
do. Taskbars for both monitors if you want, individual or just stretched
across. The "fourth" button as you call it is there. Individual
screensavers, backgrounds, etc. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Let me second that suggestion. I've used UltraMon for several years
now and have never once regretted purchasing it. The author is great.
If you suggest a feature or report a bug, this guy gets right on it.
He's stunningly supportive of his user base and I cannot say enough
good about both the product and especially the author. It was easily
worth the $39.95 asking price, and I can't say that about most
software I've purchased over the years.

BTW, if www.realtimesoft.com isn't easy enough to remember, you can
also go to www.ultramon.com since they both point to the same place.
