How to Stop WinXP from Auto opening My Pictures

I use a partition "G" for all images and they are sorted into individual
folders regarding their genre.

Yet when downloading an image from the internet or e-mail Windows
immediately opens "My Pictures".

Is there a counter measure for me to use to stop this and have windows open
the "G" partition?

Go to: Start > Run >Regedit
Navigate down to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
Alter the data against "My Pictures" to the folder you want.

Do the same in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
