I have everything turned off, from only thesaurus checked in the references
options to unchecking MS KnowledgeBase in Healp Center, but every single
damned time I use the thesaurus, the auto-dialer starts (by the way, I have
NEVER dial an internet connection set, but still MS dials).

How can I shut off the dialer from the thesaurus?

Thanks,
Michael

Office 2003, and a clarification. I have 2 computers, one connected to the
internet via a modem. Within Office, I have off-line content in the
reference task pane, not on-line. That works well.

On the second computer, networked into the first with a LAN connection.
Same options checked and unchecked with Office, but still Office sends a
dial signal out to the first computer. I suspect this is a LAN setup issue
which is getting a request from Office to establish an internet connection.

Thanks for your help,

Michael

The Office.Setup or word.setup.networking newsgroup might be the better venue
to ask, then. However, the one place that does occur to me to check is
