When burning DVD's or CD's the Windows burning applet has started
coming up. It didn't used to do this. Don't know why it started doing
this, how do I stop this from happening? It's a minor annoyance, but
it's an annoyance.

Thanks

Try disabling the IMAPI CD-Buring COM Service in Control Panel | Admin
Tools | Services.

Do you mean the icon and message balloon that pops up in the system tray
when you have files waiting to be burned to CD?
