See your domain administrator for help in re-joining the domain. You have to
be physically connected to the domain, have dns setup properly, logon as a
local administrator, and know the password for a domain adminstrator
account.

I am sure that there is a registry setting that can be changed to stop the
changes from being applied. or is that just for server?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

You can try a System Restore. I have no idea if that will work, but it
couldn't hurt. If it doesn't work, take your machine to your IT Dept.
and be nice to them.

I don't know of any registry settings that will help you. Malke is right you
could try a system restore. I'm assuming this is a laptop? If you were not
connected to the domain when you removed yourself from it this may work. If
it does work you will have lost your cached credentials and won't be able to
logon until you are physically connected to the domain again. In all
likelihood you will have to get your IT dept. to rejoin you to the domain.
In a way it is their fault for not securing the laptop and allowing this to
happen, unless of course you used a password reset program to reset the
local administrator password.
