How do I stop Activex warnings when inserting HTML signatures into HTML mail
messages.
I also get a small square box at top of the signature that I need to delete.
VERY ANNOYING.

Don't include any AX controls in the HTML that you are pasting into the
signature. AX should not be used at all in e-mail. It is highly likely
that recipients will have their e-mail client configured to use the
Restricted Sites security zone (with its default High setting) which is the
default. E-mail clients that don't use the Windows security zones should
already disable AX in e-mails. So your use of ActiveX will get nullified by
recipients, anyway, plus it is highly unlikely that the recipients already
have the AX control already installed (and they won't be installing one that
you include in an attachment).

Vanguard,
Thanks for the prompt response.
I'm not placing AX controls in the signature.
I simply format the signature in FrontPage or Word using the Advanced Edit
feature for signatures.
Inexplicably this seems to add a AX control.
I dont believe this happened with previous versions of Outlook.
(I've been editing and adding FP or Word signatures for years to my HTML
emails).

So when you look at the HTML code for your signature, what does it have in
it?

Vanguard,
How do I forward you one of my HTML emails on this list?
I think it's test only.
Or I wanted to send a screen grab.
Email me on (e-mail address removed)
Please delete the "nospam_"

I'm leaving for a week's vacation today so I won't be able to get to it.
You should be able to view the HTML code (by viewing the source) in whatever
application you are using, copy, and paste it into a post. Just munge out
any personal information, like your e-mail address. Since I'll be gone, you
might want to start a new thread if you get no bites by adding a post into
this one. You might also want to cross-post to an HTML coding group since
those folks would be familiar with HTML. Sorry, but I just won't have time
to get to it today and will be gone a week.

Hi Nadish

I am experiencing the very same problem. Did you get to the bottom of this?

Thanks

Steve
