Hi,

I just got my new computer, and discovered that the shop
has made no extra partitions - the whole drive (160 GB)
is partitioned as C:/. The on-line help only tells you
how to make new partitions if you have unallocated space
on the drive - but all my space is already allocated!

Any ideas on how to do this (I was thinking on 3 or 4
partitions)? Is a complete new installation needed or is
there an easier way?

Thankful for all help.

/Martin

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows installation, is to purchase and use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8.

The alternative is to perform a "clean install" of Windows XP:

Thanks Carey,

Clear answer! I will go for the clean install since there
is nothing except XP installed anyway by now.
