How to sort by name and maintain Catagory groupings?

In Outlook 2002 i could sort by name or company while in the catagory view.
Having just switched to 2003, when i attempt to do this I loose all catagory
formatting. Has anyone found a way do use this function in Outlook 2003 or
does anyone know why i can't get this to work??
 
Inexplicably, Outlook 2003 banished this ability.
Try customizing your view to fit your needs.
 
Sort first, then group by Category will get around this lost functionality.
