I'm using Windows XP Home Edition and have downloaded Hocus Pocus. I am now in the "not knowing" zone on how to set up in DOS. It would ever so greatly appreciated if someone could give me some basic, easy to understand steps on MS-DOS game setup.....................many thanks!

Hi, Wylie,
One way to play Dos games in Home Edition, is to create a shortcut to the
game, typing in the path and address something like the following:
D:\"Hocus Pocus\Hocus Pocus.exe"

The quotes must be used if there are any spaces in the name.

well first there is no "dos" on nt based systems which xp
is one of.
There is a command emulator that functions like "dos".
start > run > cmd will give you the window.

Actually, DOS is an oxymoron, as it stands for Disk Operating System.
In earlier times all the files were installed in a DOS folder, but as
Windows progressed, all the files were absorbed into the Windows system.
The Dos folder no longer exists.
Almost all former Dos files can still be used in the command prompt root
directory.

Have a nice day,
Jerry
