Hi Networm,
What type of request for help is that to post ?
I run and use successfully Viavoice 9 with XP Home & SP2.
As voice recognition goes it's a great programme but does take getting use to.
There are a stack of reasons why you might be getting a report message error.
I assume you have the most recent updates for PRO 9, if so,
Try this: Reboot your PC, disable your anti-virus & your firewall, start
Viavoice
if it doesn't show a send error report, work backwards, disable anti virus &
firewall one at a time, if the above is of no help or it is to do with one of
those programmes go to www.ibm.com/uk/ for support phone numbers.

DON'T FORGET TO ENABLE BOTH YOUR ANTI-VIRUS & FIREWALL AGAIN BEFORE GOING ON
LINE.

Hello,

I read the following post from the archive, and hope I can also request
assistance. I am running XP Home, SP2. Before upgrading to SP2, I had
installed IBM Viavoice 9.1 Pro USB edition. It worked fine. I then
upgraded to XP SP2 and now Viavoice does not work. I went to the
Nuance site and downloaded a patch for XP SP2 and installed it. It did
not help. I then completely un-installed Viavoice, rebooted, turned off
Zonealarm FW and Trendmicro Security Suite and re-installed Viavoice.
This time, it recognized me as new and I went through the voice
customization routine and dictated soem paragraphs. This went fien,
but immediately afterwards it tried to load the speechbar and again
failed. I get a message that the application has encountered an error
and must close. When I click on details, it lists navcentral.exe as
the culprit.

I woyuld appreciate any ideas on how to fix.

Thanks,

Saseve
