how to set up email accounts

I am connecting through wireless LAN, I can send emails through outlook, but
after setting up HOTMAIL ,outlook is not accepting emails. How do I get
outlook to synch with my HOTMAIL account. I went to tools>email accounts and
it appears my account is set up properly. THanks for any help.
 
Are you using a paid MSN Hotmail account? The free accounts don't work with
Outlook anymore.

Are you getting any error messages? If so, what are they (exact text
please)?

No, no error messages. Outlook simply is not synchronizing. It is very
frustrating. thank you for your help.
 
thanks for the help, I got it to work. Now I am trying to figure out how to
set up my email account from work. THe institution i work for uses novell
groupwise web access. I tried to set it up as an Http site and it did not
work and I got the error message "reported error (0x80004005): 'Outlook's
request to the server failed. The serveer responded ".'
 
Hmm. You might want to start a new post on the new issue -- I'm not really
familiar with those error message codes, but I'm sure someone else will be
able to help you with it.

Outlook's HTTP accounts work, when they work, only with Hotmail.
