how to set up a simple db for my PTO and sort by committees

I'm trying to set up a simple db for my pto - name, address ,email,
committee. and then i would like to sory by commitee. for example, all
members that signed up for fundraising. How do i do this?

Please don't "multipost" - post the same question in more than one
newsgroup. Most of the volunteers here read several groups, and it
wastes people's time if they answer questions which someone else has
already covered in another group.
