The add-in mentioned below might be your best option. Note that this
feature exists in version 2003 (without any add-in), but in another
forum, several people have been testing this out, and it has been very
inconsistent. Some get the reset in 5 minutes (the way it is supposed to
work). Some get the reset in a few more than 5 minutes. And some never
get the reset.
You can try it on your system by going to the Slide Show menu and
choosing Set Up Show. Check the box for Browsed at a Kiosk. This is
supposed to return the show to the first slide after 5 minutes of
inactivity. Note also that in this mode, the slide show only advances by
clicking on navigation buttons or using automatic slide transitions. That
is, the space bar, mouse clicks (other than on buttons and hyperlinks),
and other keys (such as arrow keys) do not work. The only key that works
is the Escape key.
