I need to send out a bulk email.....300 recipients....I do not want the
recipients names to show because of privacy issues. Is this possible?

That's what the BCC field is for.
That's an awful lot of recipients. Many mail servers won't allow that
number. Why don't you use a mail merge?

I have the same question as Grand Summit, Russ. You referred to the BCC
field, but it doesn't appear on my Outlook screen when I try to generate a
new message. How do I change my Outlook default to get the BCC field?
Actually, I would ideally like to accomplish that or something equivalent in
Outlook Express. Thanks for your help . . .

That would depend on your Outlook version and which editor you are you
using, which you did not specify.
For Outlook 2003 with Word as editor, look at your Options dropdown in the
new message window.

For Outlook, when you click the To button, you'll see Bcc at the bottom.
Alternatuvely, you can click View>Bcc Field. For Outlook Express, click
View>All Headers, I believe (I don't have the OE mail interface available at
this moment).

What about sending a group email to "undisclosed recepients" - how do you do
that?

No such thing in Outlook unless you want to create a fictional Contact by
that name and put it in the To: field.
BCC is the only way to hide recipients.
