How to send picture in body of e-mail

I used to send pictures in the body of an e-mail. Now I put the picture in
the e-mail, but when I send, it automatically becomes an attachment. Is
there a way to keep the pictures in the body of the message?
 
Sorry, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access, the database product.

And there are 50 squintillion different email programs. I guess the
answer might be different, depending on which one you use - which is:
(fetches crystal ball ...)
