How to select different cells with only keyboard movements

Use:

1. the ENTER key
2. the TAB key
3. the arrow keys

all without the mouse

to go to a "remote" location without the mouse:

CNTRG-g and then type the address.
 
Better yet, look up keyboard shortcuts in help, and you will find a
multitude of ways to navigate using the keyboard.
 
How to select different cells in a ROW to apply conditional formatting, with
only keyboard movements?

Not Adjacent rows. For example cell no. H2,J2 & L2 belongs to row no. 2.

You mean Not adjacent columns. In that case you will need to resort to
"mouse keys" You will find it in Accessibility options, Mouse.

Trish,

ctrl + g, (GoTo), type in specific cells, OK.
Cells will be highlighted, apply CF.
