I want to split the db, mde the FE and replicate the BE and put both local on
the same PC. I belive the FE would be pretty locked up, but what about the
BE- how do I keep users from importing tables from it or even opening it in
design view and messing with things?

thanks

I suggest you start by reading

Access security is a great feature, but it is, by nature a complex product
with a very steep learning curve. Properly used it offers very safe
versatile protection and control. However a simple mistake can easily lock
you out of your database, which might require the paid services of a
professional to help you get back in.

Practice on some copies to make sure you know what you are doing.

MANY THANKS!

Access MDB is impossible to secure
Dont use it for a single record and a single user.

it's not reliable, it's not secure. it's not acceptable

don't listen this ****er from Europe; if he was halfway smart; he would
have immigrated to a real country a long time ago
