How to Search

I'm showing 4172 messages in this newsgroup, 3996 unread, and 15796 not
downloaded. My questions are:
1. How do I get all the of 15796 downloaded and,
2. How do I do a search on a subject. I don't want to scroll through all
4172 line items looking at each one.
Newsgroups is fairly new to me, and the questions are elementary, but I
can't figure them out.
 
To search, On the toolbar, find...
Manage your headers, Tools, Options, Read tab, Get ____ fill in the amount.
