I want to search my inbox under "Find" but don't want to go back four
years, as it does now. Is there a way to hit "Find" and limit the
search to a specific time, like 2005 or 30 days, etc.

Thanks,

Don in GA

Please tell me that you don't have four years worth of mail in your *Inbox*!

Is that supposed to be an answer? Do you have a good suggestion of
how I can archieve a searchable inbox?

Actually, yes.

Absolutely. Clean it out. Create folders and move messages from your Inbox
into the appropriate folders. The Inbox is not meant as a repository for
storage. You're begging for corruption, which means you'll lose everything
in your Inbox, at least, if not your entire message store.

How can I creat folders by years? Example. I want to take all 2004
and put in one folder.

Thanks

There are many ways. Here's one:
Find | Advanced Find | Advanced Tab | Define more criteria | <define
your date criteria> | Click 'Find Now' | Highlight search results |
Right Click | Select 'Move to Folder'

Thanks so much. You were the only one that answered what I wanted. I
tried it and it worked like a champ. Now for the first time in years
I can search properly on Outlook.
