I must be phrasing my search criteria incorrectly as I can't seem to find
answer in help files here. Is there any way to search this forum for
questions that contain exactly "reports by hour" or "query for date" ? I
type in Search For field and the answers are overwhelming in number and
mostly not what I am really searching for. Thanks

The Microsoft webpage search engine is... umm... a bit weak.

Most regulars here (and even most Microsoft employees, it seems) use
http://groups.google.com. Select Advanced Search and limit the search
to the microsoft.public.access.* forums, and use the "exact phrase"
search option.

Those *exact* search terms will, however, likely miss a great many
relevant hits. What if the poster used the phrase "query by date"
instead?

If you wish, please feel free to post a new question. It helps a lot
if you open the query in SQL view and post the SQL text, together with
examples of the data you expect to find and don't, and/or that you are
seeing that you don't want.

Thank-you I am off to the link you posted. If I am unable to find answers I
will post back here. Perhaps the microsoft group could post your answer in
their help files.

<g> Well... they probably won't, because they might get fired for
suggesting (correctly) that a competitor's search engine does a better
job than their own company's.
