To the best excel workers.

I have a speadsheet that consolidate other spreadsheet
additionning each same cells in the form of : spreads #1!
a6 + spreads #2! a6 + spreads #3! a6 and so on.

I need to tell the spreadsheet to find in every cell that
contains say spreads #2!with a cell reference and remove
it (delete it) to leave the remaining spreadsheet
references. In this case only the cells from spreads #1
and #3 would remain.

Thanks a advance

Hi Andre

(before trying this suggestion please take a backup of your workbook)

you can do a edit / replace from the menu to replace
spreads #2!*+
type the above into the find what in exactly the same format that it appears
in your formulas - probably something like 'spreads #2'!*+

and then leave the replace with box blank

click the options button to ensure that it is searching in formulas
and entire cell contents is not selected
then click the Replace All button

hope this helps - let us know how you get on

Cheers
