I want to know how to save an mp3 file onto a blank cd so
that it will play in, for example, a dvd player that is
compatible to play mp3s, not as an audio cd though. Do I
have to download something like Winamp, or can I do it
within Windows xp pro or Windows media player? Please
help. I'm too scared to experiment without ruining
something.

Any burn ware will work, just burn the mp3 to rom and you are done. I use
nero and music match.

Use the burning software which came with your CD burner- it's likely either
EasyCD Creator or Nero. What you want to do is create a "DATA" disc- both
programs offer this option. When you burn an mp3 data disc, you'll find
that you can put well over a hundred songs on to one CD-R!

Don't be scared and worried about ruining something. The worst thing that
could happen is that you create what is affectionately referred to as a
"coaster." I've created more coasters than I care to admit. No big deal-
blank CD's are dirt cheap.

Regards,
Ian.
