I am getting ready to re-format my HD and reinstall windows... for
various reasons. I cannot find how to save/export my email from
Netscape 7.1 so I can import it after the fresh install. I can't even
find where 7.1 keeps email files. Does anyone know how I can "back
up" my email?

Just drag'n drop all of your messages to a floppy to save them (ya' gotta
love it, Bill Gates using Netscape!)

Check in Preferences or Options. There has to be a setting for
Storage folders for mail. Otherwise just backup the entire
Netscape folder tree to a CD-R. Worst case, After XP is
reinstalled, just install the "Same" version of Netscape to the
"Same" disk location. Afterwards just replace the fresh instance
of Netscape with the one you saved to CD-R. That may or
may not work, but at least the data will be backed up. Best
I remember the profile data is saved within the Netscape tree.
