There is some strange error on XP, and I would like to restore it with CD.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the procedure how to restore XP system
with CD?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Your message is unclear. Do you want to restore the PC to it's
original factory state ? Or do you have a Windows XP CD-ROM
and want to do a fresh/clean install.

Different PC Vendors use various methods to restore the PC to
it's delivered state. Without knowing specifics of your computer
it's difficult to advise you.

The very first step is to be sure that *all* your data is backed up to an
external drive or two. If you don't take this step, there is a risk, which
may be high, that you will lose all the data.

Restoration may not be necessary. What is the "strange error"?

Two methods can be used for this:

1) Large "branded" PC companies have XP "recovery" CDs. These will
erase the installed XP (all files) and then replace the XP as of the
time the PC was sent out of the factory.

2) Microsoft's standard XP install from CD. Boot to PC with the CD in
the CD / DVD drive. Follow the direction.

Provide more details in my suggestion.

We can be good at diagnosing strange errors but need to know what the
error is, what your OS and SPs are, what is the exact error message,
when do you see the error, when did it last work properly, etc.

A System Restore is a pretty major jump... what will you do after
that if it doesn't work, if you lose all your data or it just gets
worse?
