I recently delted some adware and it's thrown up an error message I cannot
get rid of, even after reinstalling the adware! The message is called
RUNDLL; c/windows/dowloaded Programme File/bridge.dll

I do not want to take XP back to an earlier setting because I've made
changes and installed programmes I want to keep. Can anyone identify this
bridge.dll, where can I find it to reinstall?

"Bridge.dll" is a remnant of a spyware file and should be deleted.

Download Ad-Aware 6.0 and scan your PC for the presence of spyware:

Bridge.dll is malware.

Get Hijack This here:
http://computercops.biz/zx/phoenix22/hijackthis.zip
http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html,

run it and delete an entry similar to this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL",Load

(Note: DO NOT delete any other entry, as most of them come from good
programs and you need them)

reboot and delete the file:
Windows\System\bridge.dll

If you don't have the file then it has already been deleted by
antispyware, you need to delete the Hijack This entry, though.

Good luck
