How to remove GDI Detection tool

Since downloading the latest Microsoft update, my computer has slowed to a
crawl. It actually took 5 minutes to bring up VB6, switching between
visible windows can take long enought that I can get a cup of coffee (not
every time, but not infrequent, either).

I need to back this change off my system. One of the items is the GDI
detection tool. I don't see any way to get rid of it, it's not listed in
the Control Panel Add/Remove programs.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of these fixes until MS gets it right?
All help appreciated.

I just posted about this myself. What is this sh!t? There is nothing
about such a 'tool' via Google.
