Hi
I have aquired a computer with access 97 installed and i would like to
remove it prior to installing the full Office 2003 suite. I'd really like to
remove it first so that i am certain of a clean install and don't keep
thinking of it evry time i have a problem with data access in the future!
However i don't have the installation disk and it says 'setup cannot run
without your programs diskettes' when i try to remove it using add/remeve
programs.
Could anyone help me?

Kind regards,
Richard

Hi Carey
Thanks for the response, and i am sorry for placing this question in so many
places - i have been spanked by 'DL' and i won't do it again!
I'm told Access 97 doesn't use Windows Installer it uses something called
ACME? Also, the cleanup utility doesn't list access 97 as one of the products
it applies to and that it could cause other programs to need reinstalling?
What does it do anyway?

Kind regards,
Richard

Simply install the new Office version; it will offer to remove the old
versions of any Office applications it finds. I've never yet seen this
method cause a problem, later on.
