Can anyone help me with a function that I could apply to my spreadsheet? I
have 10 columns and hundreds of rows coming over from another application and
now that we are in Excel 2007 the $$'s are coming thru with a bunch of
zero's. Here's what it looks like
4770:00000000000000

Highlight sheet, ctrl+H
Find what : put
:00000000000000

Replace with:do nothing

Ok

Go to excell options the advanced and unclick show zeros

What should: 4770:00000000000000 display as??

RE: Go to excell options the advanced and unclick show zeros

That wont do anything!

4770:00000000000000 is text NOT a dollar value. Select your Column and
Replace : with . and then format the cells how you want them.
