How to reload registry

Hi Guys

Can anyone please show me how to reload changes made in the registry without having to restart my PC. Please try and give me solutions that I can use from the Command Prompt

Thanks for the response

What I meant was that, I am currently logged onto my XP machine. I have made a few registry changes. It is required of me to restart my machine before the changes will take effect. I do not want to restart my computer but instead I rather want to use the command prompt to have my computer reload the registry so that my changes would take immediate effect

Can anyone please help me

Use the following at a command line;

GPUpdate /force

You can also substitute /? to see a list of parameters that can be used with
this command.

The command is from XP Pro; I do not have first hand experience of home
edition so can't say.
