My girlfriend just moved in with me and she has a pretty
nice Sony Computer with Windows XP already installed on
it. The problem is she has every bug and extra bs
software on her computer that really slows the entire
sysytem. I need to pretty much blank her systrm
completely so I can start over. I heard XP has this
function but cant find it. Can you help?

Boot from the cd (may have to adjust bios settings but I
doubt it, most have cd boot enabled by default now).
Press a key when prompted to boot from the cd and select
install windows xp. It will basically start a set up
only it will detect your previous windows install in a
partition. I think here is where you can select the
partition and tell it to delete it by pressing d (on
screen instructions are there for you). Then create a
partition and format using ntfs (I do not use the quick
format if I am trying to totally delete HD). That should
be it, but as I said the instructions are on the screen
once you boot from cd. Just dont use repair option.
That gets confusing for some.
