I recently bought a Dell 8200 series computer from a
friend. I don't know how to reformat the hard drive. How
do you reformat it?

Here are the two most popular ways:
1) Use a DOS boot disk. Run FDISK to remove the old parititions and
create new ones.
2) Use your Win XP disc and run setup. It will give you the option to
reformat the disks.

You could also boot using the boot disk and enter "format c:" without
the quotes.

I am assuming the computer came with XP.
