How to recover user data after re-install Windows XP.

I upgrade the motherboard and never restart properly. I try to run a recovery
but it fails too. I had to re-install Windows XP. Every time I try to access
my old profile data it says "Access Denied", but I can access other users
data. How I can access/open my old profile under Documents and Settings and
recover my old settings and files?

Open Help & Support and search on "Take ownership." I believe this will
help you with this problem.
