How to Really Delete Sent items?

Hi - I'm using Outlook 2000 under XP home edition. Can anyone tell me
how to delete emails from my "sent items" folder, WITHOUT them going
straight into my "deleted items" folder. This two stage delete process
is driving me mad...

When you press Delete, hold down the Shift key as well. This will result in
a "permanent delete", which bypasses the Deleted Items folder.

You just know that in a short time this poster will be back asking how
to recover permanently deleted items (Shift+DEL). ;->
