Unlike Normal Shutdown, there is no need to close any of the currently
open programs.
You will get everything back as it was on your desktop on the next
restart.

Embedded media from this media site is no longer available

That's not a shutdown, it's hibernation, while it does actually power off
the PC they are 2 different things.

Thanks. I do not have Flash, so I couldn't see the video. I wondered what
it was.

WTF do they need a video for?

It was probably made buy some idiot that thought he found this new and
wonderful thing.
Hey, with all these post your own video sites around, any wingnut with the
necessary equipment can waste valuable server space with all sorts of
useless crap, think I saw a video of someone's cat hacking it's guts out a
while back, if that's not entertainment I don't know what is.

Dave,
Don't you think that there are a millions around who doesn't know what
is hybernation. Surely, Windows does not automatically enable
hybernation mode on the power button.
I am sure this would be useful for at least some of them.
This is not meant for experienced users like you.

Dont you think you should correct the spelling of hibernation !

I wasn't commenting on the tip itself, hibernation is a useful tool for
some, I just get a kick out of all the completely ridiculous videos people
put on these video sites, there are quicker ways to learn about hibernation
than having to sit through a video, but it is the information age I guess.

I didn't say that I wanted the Flash POS, I said I do not have Flash.

I do not have the POS nor do I want the POS.
It takes only a few seconds to install flash player.

Yeah and longer than that to get rid of it. 57 registry entries that I had
to manually delete after uninstalling the POS two years ago.

It takes only a few seconds to install flash player. This is the link

It's a useful 1 minute video tutorial on how to enable and use
Hybernation mode.
