How can I put short action sequences into a powerpoint presentation. It
involves chemical modelling. What sort of software is needed?

elgordo,

I guess it depends on the chemical modelling action sequence you want. Is it something that exists in "software" at the
moment..or is it a video clip on tape?

Powerpoint (better use powerpoint version 2002/2003 for best results) can animate things itself

powerpoint can import animated gifs
powerpoint can play video clips
powerpoint can import flash clips

Hi elgordo,

We've got a simple example of a chemical modelling presentation on our
website. Go to http://www.perspector.com/, click "about perspector",
click "Gallery 3" and scroll down to the "Chemical Bonds" example. To
download the presentation, right-click the download link beneath the
thumbnail.

As TAJ has already explained, PowerPoint can animate shapes. You can see
this feature being used in this presentation to move the chemical
elements around. View the presentation as a slide-show to see the
animation effects.

The images in this example were created with our 3D PowerPoint add-in,
Perspector, but you can use the same techniques for any images or
PowerPoint shapes. An exception is the animation on the last slide that
shows a spinning 3D model. This is an animated image that was created
using Perspector.

Is this the kind of presentation you want to create?
