How to Place Non-Printing Instructions in Form or Templates

Can anyone direct me to a source or provide details of placing instructions or notes in Word documents. I need to have them very obvious beciayse no one every pays attention to the status line. As an example, place instructions to complete the File>>Properties>>Title

You could use the following code in a autonew macro to
instruct users to provide a document title:



Dim Title As String
Title = InputBox("Enter Document Title", "Title")
ActiveDocument.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyTitle)
= Title

Hi Thomas,

Using 'Hidden' Text is one way, and works unless your users have Word
configured not to display it. Another way, using Word fields, is explained
