I would like to check old events from "archive.pst".
How can I open archive.pst without messing out the current outlook.pst?
TIA. Craig

Thanks Sue.

File | Open | Archive.pst

It opened up the Archive.pst. The problem is that I cannot tell whether it
is opening Archive.pst or current Outlook.pst. Please advise me how to
check whether the opened pst is archive or current one?
TIA. Craig

That command will open whatever file you tell it to open. To see what PST files are currently in your session, look in the Folder List in the navigation pane. You can right-click the top-level folder of each information store, choose Properties, then Advanced to see the path to the file.

In the folders tree, right-click on the root node of a message store and
look at its properties to see which file is used for that message store.
You could also then rename the message store so it was more recognizable.

Thank you. Now, I can figure it out.

I have a related question. When Archive.pst was open, I see that 4 items
(Calendar, deleted items, sent items and tasks) were archived. The
archive.pst was created automatically. Is there a way to include Contacts
also during the creation of archive.pst? TIA. Craig

Autoarchive does not process the Contacts folder.
