How to open a .awd file

I have a problem, my friend is constantly sending me via
email an .awd file attachment which is he created in
windows 98. In windows 98 theres no problem since I can
open those files in windows 98 imaging but I wonder how I
can open those .awd files in windows XP. Anyone knows?

AWD = At Work Document (AWD Microsoft Fax)
