how to obtain the native resolution of a LCD?

Hi all,

I am wonderfing if there is a place that I can find the native resolution of
a LCD?

Where can I find this information in the system? Can I obtain this
information by programming?

Hi Nathan, the EDID only gives the maximum supported resolution on that
monitor. It does not give native resolution of the LCD. Do you meant to say
that the maximum supported resolution is the same as the native resolution
of LCD?
 
Yes, the maximum resolution of an LCD Monitor is the native resolution.
That program should also give the optimal refresh rate as well ;)
