Migrating from Outlook that comes with Microsoft Office to Outlook Express.
The file types seem to be different with no apparent import export
compatibility. What am I over looking?

For most of the Outlook data, you must have both programs installed on the
same machine -- then you can use the Import/Export Wizard in Outlook (found
on the File menu) or the Import and Export commands in Outlook Express (also
on the File menu) to get the data from one to the other. For some of the
data you may be able to export to a different format, such as .CSV, that can
be imported into Outlook Express directly.

Of course, you will lose all calendaring, task tracking, journaling, and
notes capabilities if you make this transition.
